Man charged with shooting pastor makes 1st court appearance

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — A man charged with shooting a Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, pastor in March has made his first court appearance.

A judge on Monday ordered that 30-year-old Kyle Odom remain in jail on $500,000 bail.

Odom is charged with shooting pastor Tim Remington six times outside of the Altar Church on March 6th. Remington survived the shooting.

Odom was arrested in Washington D.C., two days later, after throwing objects over the south fence of the White House. He was recently extradited to Idaho.

Odom faces a charge of attempted first degree murder for the shooting.
