SOUTH WEBER, Utah (AP) — A South Weber home has burned to the ground in a fire aggravated by windy weather.
South Weber fire officials say the fire was reported Friday around 12:40 p.m.
Fire Chief Thomas Graydon says crews arrived to find one home completely engulfed in flames as high as 40 feet.
According to Graydon, wind caused some flames to jump onto a home next door.
A house on the other side was damaged from heat intensity.
Graydon says the fire also sparked a small brush fire in an adjacent field.
No injuries were reported.
A bystander was able to rescue a pet in the backyard of the home.
Officials estimate property damages to be at least $500,000.
The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
