South Korean experts say it's unlikely that North Korea has an operational submarine that can fire multiple missiles, but they acknowledge that the North is making progress.

QUITO, Ecuador (AP) — The earthquake death toll has gone up again in Ecuador. Officials now say week's magnitude-7.8 earthquake killed at least 654 people with 58 people missing. Chandler police say a Wal-Mart employee recognized Oakley as someone who had been ejected from the store in the past and called police.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — Donald Trump tells supporters in Connecticut that he's not changing his pitch to voters, a day after his chief adviser assured Republican officials their party's front-runner would show more restraint. Speaking in Rhode Island, Democrat Hillary Clinton warned voters that Trump is attempting to appeal to a broader audience but will "go after every one of the rights we have."
