PIKETON, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in southern Ohio are searching for an armed and dangerous suspect who killed eight members of a family execution style. The victims included a mother who was in bed with a 4-day-old baby next to her. Attorney General Mike DeWine there were no indications that any of the dead killed themselves. The shootings happened in four locations in Pike County, an Appalachian Mountain region about 80 miles east of Cincinnati

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota sheriff says no stone will be left unturned in the investigation into the death of music superstar Prince. The 57-year-old was found unresponsive at his suburban Minneapolis compound yesterday. Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson says there were no signs of trauma or suicide indications. An autopsy was conducted today and the body released to his family. Toxicology results are pending.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) — A Florida sheriff is angrily denying that his deputies watched and didn't help rescue three Florida teenagers who stole a car, crashed it into a cemetery pond and drowned after a March 30 police chase. Comic D.L. Hughley (HEW'-glee) and others on social media have posted that police just watched as the car sank with two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old from St. Petersburg. Sheriff Bob Gaultieri says the dashcam video being criticized was "misleadingly" edited.

NEW YORK (AP) —It's not over, but the flu season is winding down. It's still widespread in 14 states, mostly in the Northeast. Health officials say the season peaked in early March and reports of flu are steadily declining. Compared to the last three seasons, this one was mild. In each of those seasons — considered moderate to severe — more than 100 children died of the flu. So far this season, there have been 56 child flu deaths.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Michelle Obama is making a cameo appearance in support of military families on an upcoming episode of the CBS hit drama "NCIS." CBS says the episode, airing May 3, features the first lady welcoming NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, and the wife of a Marine to the White House for a "Joining Forces" discussion with military spouses. The nationwide initiative was launched in 2011 by Mrs. Obama and Vice President Joe Biden's wife, Jill.
