NEW YORK (AP) — Bill Clinton says Christians who believe in a God of forgiveness should be willing to give young ex-convicts a second chance.

The former president spoke Sunday morning to the predominantly African-American congregation of Antioch Baptist Church in Queens, urging them to vote in Tuesday's New York presidential primary.

Clinton said his wife, Hillary, will work to reduce mass incarceration and ensure that young men who get out of jail aren't denied job opportunities.

Hillary Clinton, he said, is someone who tries to live by the Bible's teaching that "faith without works is dead" and "I'll show you my faith by my works."
