SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A Syracuse caregiver is accused of punching and biting a person with developmental disabilities.
The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports (http://bit.ly/1XswWxh ) 48-year-old Elois Jackson pleaded not guilty to endangering the welfare of an incompetent or physically disabled person and harassment.
Prosecutors say Jackson was working as a direct support professional when she screamed and cursed at the victim, punched him in the chest and bit his arm.
She's been placed on administrative leave by Community Options Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides housing and employment support to people with disabilities.
It's unclear if Jackson has an attorney.
