BRUSSELS (AP) — Belgian prosecutors have charged four more suspects with "participating in terrorist acts" linked to the deadly suicide bombings in Brussels. The Federal Prosecution Office says Mohamed Abrini and three others are charged with participating in "terrorist murders" and the "activities of a terrorist group" in relation to the March 22 bombings in Brussels' airport and subway. The attacks killed 32 people and wounded 270 others. Two other suspects arrested in the last few days have been released.
MANILA, Philippines (AP) — Philippine military officials say at least 18 soldiers have been killed in fierce fighting with Muslim militants in the south. Three military officials told The Associated Press that at least 52 other soldiers were wounded in the clashes with Abu Sayyaf (AH'-boo sy-YAHF') militants and allied gunmen. It's the largest single-day combat loss by government forces this year in the south, where the military has been battling Muslim separatist rebels and extremists and Marxist guerrillas.
MEXICO CITY (AP) — A woman who was on the FBI's 10 Most Wanted fugitives list has been detained in Mexico. Brenda Delgado was wanted in the killing of her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend in Texas. Prosecutors allege that Delgado hired two accomplices to carry out the hit on Dr. Kendra Hatcher. The dentist was gunned down in the parking garage of her Dallas apartment complex in September. Both alleged accomplices are in custody.
SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A man accused of murder has been captured, two days after escaping from a Washington state psychiatric hospital. The Washington State Patrol says Anthony Garver was apprehended in the woods near his parents' house in Spokane. Garver crawled out a window at Western State Hospital on Wedesday with another patient who was caught the next day. Meanwhile, authorities say another patient is missing from the hospital after failing to return from an outing on Wednesday.
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz has locked up the support of 21 Colorado delegates. Slates loyal to Cruz won every assembly in the state's seven congressional districts, which began April 2 and culminated yesterday with 12 delegates selected. And the Texas senator is well-positioned to pad his total today, when 13 more delegates are being chosen at the party's state convention.
