BEIJING (AP) — A security video has sparked outrage in China, where officials and social commentators have long despaired over the unwillingness of some Chinese to help others or intervene in disputes, often for fear of being held responsible themselves. The video of a woman being attacked in the hallway of a Beijing hotel shows other guests and even hotel staff walking blithely past. The hotel's management apologized and a suspect was arrested.
