SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a Southern California woman has pleaded guilty to hanging seven mannequins with the names of deputies and bullseye targets drawn on them.
The San Bernardino Sun reports (http://bit.ly/1RwsI3P ) the mannequins were strung up in random locations around the San Bernardino mountain community of Crestline. Sarah Stewart pleaded guilty to resisting an executive officer by means of threats and violence.
According to court documents, the 36-year-old Stewart has an extensive criminal history and was on parole for a burglary conviction when she was arrested in February. The documents say she has ties to local white supremacists and drug dealers.
Investigating deputies say they believe Stewart was trying to win the respect of her white supremacist gang associates.
She is facing four years in state prison. Her attorney did not respond to a request for comment.
