LAS VEGAS (AP) — The death of a California woman whose body was found last month in a Las Vegas hotel-casino laundry chute has been ruled accidental. The Clark County Coroner's office said 26-year-old Kalli Medina-Brown of Citrus Heights died of blunt force injuries in an accident. Police initially investigated the Feb. 21 death as suspicious but now believe she tumbled on her own from the 18th floor to the laundry collection area on the third floor at the D Hotel and Casino.
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — U.S. Marshals will transport Ammon Bundy and five others to Nevada for a court hearing related to an armed standoff against government agents in 2014. A judge ruled that the six men have been ordered flown to Nevada on April 13 and returned to Oregon 10 days later. Their Nevada arraignments are likely to take place April 14 or 15.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A top aide to Gov. Brian Sandoval acknowledges that Nevada's reputation on renewable energy has been damaged in light of a recent rooftop solar rate hike. Sandoval's Chief Strategy Officer Dale Erquiaga told a newly reconvened energy task force that the state needs to show the world again that it's committed to clean energy.
CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Gov. Brian Sandoval has ordered flags in Nevada lowered to half-staff to honor victims of deadly attacks in Brussels, Belgium. Sandoval's order runs through sunset on Saturday. The governor said the people of Nevada stand with the victims.
