Pennsylvania snowboarder critically injured at Snowbasin

HUNTSVILLE, Utah (AP) — Weber County authorities say a 25-year-old man remains in critical condition after a snowboarding accident at Snowbasin Ski Resort.

The Standard-Examiner reports (http://bit.ly/1pH3QiU ) that a news release from the resort says the victim from Pennsylvania, who has not yet been identified, lost control on his snowboard and crashed. He had been riding the Finger Chutes, which are located outside of the ski area boundary above the Mt. Ogden Bowl.

Sheriff's Lt. Lane Findlay says the victim suffered major head trauma.

He was transported to an Ogden hospital in critical condition.
