LAYTON, Utah (AP) — Police say thieves made off with $20,000 worth of flutes after breaking into a musical instrument store in Utah.
The Standard-Examiner reports (http://bit.ly/1WtoUDL ) that Summerhays Music management confirmed that eight flutes were missing from the Layton store.
Layton Police Lt. Travis Lyman says the flutes were sitting on a table on the store floor before they were taken Tuesday night. Nothing else was reported stolen.
Lyman says one flute was worth $3,400 and the others were at least $1,200 each.
He says there is no security footage or description of the suspects. Investigators are checking online classified ads, eBay and local pawn shops.
