CLEVELAND (AP) — A man arrested after jumping on the stage at a Donald Trump rally in Ohio yesterday reportedly told police he planned to grab the microphone and yell that Trump is a racist. But Thomas DiMassimo told officers he didn't intend to hurt anyone, according to a police report obtained by the Dayton Daily News. The 22-year-old acting student was charged with misdemeanor inducing panic and disorderly conduct. He was released on bail.
BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — Serbian authorities are investigating reports that a package containing two guided missiles with explosive warheads was found on a passenger flight from Lebanon to Serbia. N1 television said a sniffer dog at Belgrade airport discovered the two American-made missiles on an Air Serbia plane. Serbian media say the package was bound for Portland, Oregon.
PARIS (AP) — France is raising the possibility of European sanctions against Iran after the country test-fired two ballistic missiles last week. The French foreign minister spoke during a news conference after a meeting with Secretary of State John Kerry and several European counterparts. Kerry says the Iranian missile launches are a violation of U.N. resolutions and "could invite additional sanctions."
HOUSTON (AP) — A Houston police officer is on administrative duty after fatally shooting an unarmed man. A police spokesman says the officer was on patrol yesterday when he saw an agitated man pacing, yelling obscenities and damaging a street sign. The officer tried to calm the man, but he charged at the officer twice. The officer used a Taser on him but police say the man came at the officer a third time and was fatally shot. Investigators think the man was on drugs.
NEW YORK (AP) — The Disney animated hit "Zootopia" holds onto the top spot at the box office for a second week, bringing in $50 million. The monster movie "10 Cloverfield Lane" made a better-than-expected $25 million debut, capitalizing on a mysterious marketing campaign. Sacha Baron Cohen's "Brothers Grimsby" flopped with only $3.2 million, a career low debut for the British comedian.
