CHICAGO (AP) — A man has been charged in the fatal shooting of another man inside a gym at a high-rise apartment building on Chicago's near west side.
Forty-eight-year-old Reggie Daniel is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 45-year-old Darrin Joss.
Police say Daniel shot Joss in the head and chest at about 7 p.m. Wednesday after a verbal altercation between the two while Joss was using the building's gym. Joss was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
Police say Daniel turned himself in to authorities early Thursday morning.
It wasn't immediately known whether Daniel has an attorney.
He's scheduled to appear in bond court Friday.
