BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court has denied hearing an appeal of a man who was sentenced to death for kidnapping, torturing and killing a young northern Idaho boy after killing several of members of his family. Joseph Duncan III faces the death penalty for the 2005 murders. At the time, Duncan represented himself at his sentencing hearing but later waived his right to appeal. He has since changed his mind.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho House advanced legislation that would create a statewide system of collecting and tracking the physical evidence in sexual assault investigations. The bill ensures that clinics will send that evidence for DNA testing unless the victim requests otherwise.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho Senate panel is backing a proposal to allow people within city limits to carry concealed weapons without a permit. Republican Sen. Curt McKenzie of Nampa says his bill is intended to make conceal carry laws consistent in both cities and counties.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Anthony Drmic had 22 points and 11 rebounds for his first double-double of the season to help Boise State roll past Nevada 76-57 last night. Drmic made 10 of 18 shots and had a season-high rebound total in helping Boise State move into sole possession of third place in the conference standings.
