CAMBRIDGE, Neb. (AP) — Two Cambridge High School students have been charged with felony child abuse in connection with an incident at a summer wrestling camp in Hastings.
The Nebraska Attorney General's Office filed juvenile petitions against the two high school seniors on Feb. 9 in Adams County Court. The Nebraska State Patrol began an investigation after two other students came forward to Cambridge Public Schools with complaints about an incident on June 30.
On Monday school district superintendent Robert Gregory told the Lincoln Journal Star that the district is aware of the charges. Gregory says the students accused of being involved in the incident have been punished by the district, but he would not elaborate on the details of the punishment.
