Police warn UC Berkeley students of sexual predator at large

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — Police say a sexual predator may be targeting college-age Asian women near UC Berkeley.

KPIX-TV reports (http://cbsloc.al/1Q5wNPf ) the Berkeley Police Department released video of the possible suspect on Thursday after receiving reports of three assaults over the past week.

In each case, police say the suspect appears to be targeting Asian women.

The first reported assault occurred Feb. 11 near a popular park and University of California at Berkeley dorm. The victim was walking by the park around 9 p.m. when she was grabbed from behind.

Five days later, police received reports of two more assaults occurring half an hour apart, also on the south side of campus. One assault occurred a short distance from People's Park.

The victims have described the suspect as a male in his early 20s.
