BURNS, Ore. (AP) — Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy will be behind bars in the same jail housing his sons, the leaders of an armed group that occupied an Oregon wildlife refuge. The elder Bundy was arrested last night when he arrived in Portland from Las Vegas to visit sons Ammon and Ryan Bundy. He's asking for a court-appointed attorney.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities say a Nevada couple obtained a hotel room for a murder suspect who was mistakenly released from a Los Angeles jail last month. An arrest report also said 39-year-old Bruce Oliver and 39-year-old Lavera Wilson claimed that they didn't know the whereabouts of the fugitive, 37-year-old Steven Wright. Wright was arrested at the hotel.
SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — A casino company with holdings in southern Nevada is buying the Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks. Marnell Gaming confirmed the deal late yesterday but declined to disclose the terms of the pending sales agreement. Nugget CEO Carlton Greer said the Marnell family "shares our vision of a revitalized Nugget."
NEW YORK (AP) — Lamar Odom made his public return at brother-in-law Kanye West's New York Fashion Week show today. Odom's appearance marked the first time he'd attended a public event since he was hospitalized in critical condition in Las Vegas in October 2015 after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel with cocaine in his system.
