NASHUA, N.H. (AP) — The presidential candidates are getting ready for tomorrow's New Hampshire primary, and GOP front-runner Donald Trump is aiming for his first win. Trump is facing intense pressure to perform after coming in second in the Iowa caucuses. But he says although he'd like to win in New Hampshire, he doesn't need to. Democrat Hillary Clinton faces an uphill campaign in New Hampshire against Vermont's Bernie Sanders.

DENVER (AP) — There were some arrests in Denver after the Bronco's defeated the Carolina Panthers in Sunday's Super Bowl 50. Scores of Bronco fans gathered downtown for impromptu partying, and the crowd became unruly at times. The Denver Post reports that 12 people were arrested, mainly for criminal mischief.

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Turkey's prime minister have held more talks on reducing the influx of migrants to Europe. Turkey is central to Merkel's diplomatic efforts to reduce the flow of migrants. And Turkey faces pressure from the EU to open its border to up to 35,000 Syrians who have massed along the frontier in the past few days fleeing an onslaught by government forces.

OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina Faso (AP) — An Australian woman who was freed by her al-Qaida captors in West Africa says she hopes they'll release her husband soon so they can continue their charity work. Seventy-six-year-old Jocelyn Elliott and her husband, 81-year-old Dr. Kenneth Elliott, have been providing medical care for decades to impoverished people in Burkina Faso and they were taken captive several weeks ago. Mrs. Elliott was released over the weekend in neighboring Niger (nee-ZHEHR').

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — A man in North Carolina has dropped dead while competing in a Krispy Kreme doughnut eating contest and race. The race in Raleigh involved running 2 ½ miles, eating a dozen doughnuts and then completing another 2 ½ miles. Organizers say the 58-year-old man, who had experienced chest pains, dropped out of the race during the first part of the run. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
