MURRYSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania pizza shop is gearing up to disburse $67,000 to victims of a high school knife attack.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports (http://bit.ly/1UOfbak ) Jim Fox Sr. of Fox's Pizza plans to give tax-free scholarships to the students injured in April 2014. The money was raised through the sales of T-shirts in the wake of the attacks at Franklin Regional High School.
The money will be disbursed by Murrysville Medic One and a Pittsburgh attorney who has been working with Fox through the process. The 20 students who were injured in the attack will be eligible for the scholarships.
Prosecutors want to try 18-year-old Alex Hribal as an adult in the case. He was 16 when prosecutors say he stabbed the victims.
