CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — Authorities are searching for an inmate who they say escaped from the Canyon County Jail.
KTVB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/201wyFW ) that the county sheriff's office says Jose Esteban Coronado cut through the exterior wall of a tent housing unit and escaped Saturday night. Authorities are urging the public to use "extreme caution" if they come into contact with the suspect.
Coronado had been jailed for violating a no contact order and a U.S. immigration detainer.
He was last seen wearing an orange jail shirt and pants.
Officials say Coronado may be in Nampa or headed toward Portland, Oregon.
