SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A powerful weekend snow storm has packed a wallop on roads around Utah.
The Utah Highway Patrol reports that troopers responded to nearly 100 crashes on Saturday with dozens of them involving injuries.
Authorities say the injuries consisted of cuts, bruises or a sore neck or back.
UHP and state Department of Transportation crews spent much of the day clearing roadways and collision scenes.
UHP Lt. Beau Mason says motorists need to be cautious and refrain from aggressive driving.
He also says black ice and slick conditions may arise in the coming days.
The National Weather Service says snow is expected to continue falling in the southern and central portions of the state through Monday.
Mountains in those areas could receive up to 2 or 3 feet of snow.
