TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — University of Arizona police say a dead body found on campus is that of a male student and the death is being investigated as a suicide.

They didn't immediately release the student's name or the manner of death.

Police say they received calls about 7 a.m. Tuesday about a body at the bottom of a stairwell outside the Koffler Building.

The structure near Fourth Street and Highland Avenue is a classroom facility.

A lab manager at the Koffler building says she saw the body on the ground not moving and with blood around it.

She says she began to dial 911 when the first emergency crews arrived on the scene.
