DAYS OF ‘47 KSL 5 PARADE WATCH AND WIN CONTEST OFFICIAL RULES
1. Dates/Eligibility. The Contest will take place on July 25, 2011, beginning at approximately 9:00 a.m. and ending at 11:59 p.m. KSL 5 TV (the "Station") may change the dates or terms of the Contest, including canceling the Contest, without prior notice. Any material changes will be posted on a page at www.ksl.com (the "Site"). The Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents eighteen (18) years of age and older at the time of entry residing within the State of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, or Nevada. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase a contestant's chance of winning. The Contest is void where prohibited by law. Employees or agents of the Station, Bonneville International Corporation, Disneyland Resort, A Shed Inc., Little Caesar's Pizza, Daily Bread, Good Neighbors Pharmacy, Salt Lake Homebuilders Association, Mountain America Credit Union, (collectively, the "Sponsors") or any other television or radio station that transmits a signal for reception anywhere within the State of Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, or Nevada as well as members of the same household of the employee or agent, may not participate.
2. How to Enter. Beginning at approximately 9:00 a.m. on July 25, 2011 and continuing through the remainder of the Station's broadcast of the Days of ‘47 KSL 5 Parade, contestants can watch the Station and listen for the answers to seven (7) trivia questions given during the show. The questions and answers will be given by the Station's parade hosts. The hosts will preface each answer by indicating the number of the trivia question that is being answered. Each answer may only be given once. Once contestants learn the answers to all seven (7) trivia questions, they can log on to www.facebook.com/ksltv, correctly answer the questions and submit an official online entry form. Limit one (1) entry per person. Entries must be received by the Station no later than 11:59 p.m., July 25, 2011. All entries become the sole and exclusive property of the Station and will not be returned.
3. Selection of Winners. On or about July 26, 2011 the Station will draw seven (7) entries at random from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Station will attempt to contact each contestant whose name was drawn using the telephone number provided on the entry form. If the Station is unable to contact a contestant by telephone by 5:00 p.m., July 27, 2011, the Station may discard the entry and select an alternate entry. This process will continue until seven (7) winners are found.
4. Prizes. A total of seven (7) prizes including one (1) Grand Prize may be awarded in the Contest. The prize will consist of one (1) of the following as determined by the station: I. The Grand Prize which includes - Standard hotel accommodations at a Disneyland Resort Hotel in California for four (4) (quad occupancy) for two (2) nights, and four (4) three (3) day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper® Tickets. The approximate retail value of the prize is $1,324.00 (a.) The Vacation Package awarded by the Station must be completed by March 15, 2012. (b) Tickets must be used by March 15, 2012. (c) Vacation Package fulfillment is subject to certain restrictions and is subject to hotel availability at the Disneyland® Resort. Advanced reservations required. (d) Winners must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to win. Travelers under the age of eighteen (18) must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian and must be eighteen (18) years of age. (e) Vacation Package, Vacation Package components and Tickets may not be sold, redeemed for cash, traded, transferred, or rescheduled to dates other than as set forth above. (f) Certain travel restrictions apply. (g) Disney, its parent, subsidiary, related and affiliated companies and their respective officers, directors employees and agents shall be released and discharged from any and all legal claims, losses injuries, demands, damages, actions, and /or causes of actions which arise out of and/or in any way related to the prize, the receipt, use and/or enjoyment of the prize and/or the Promotion. (h) Certain restrictions shall apply to the Vacation Packages, which restrictions shall be determined by Disney in its sole and absolute discretion. Each winner and his/her guests must travel together on the same itinerary. The Vacation Packages shall not include the following: airport departure fees and taxes; travel insurance; hotel room service; parking fees; laundry service; food; alcoholic beverages; merchandise, souvenirs, etc.; local and long distance telephone calls; tips, gratuities, service charges, resort fees or taxes; or all other charges not explicitly included in the packages pursuant to this Agreement. The Vacation Packages (and all elements thereof) are not redeemable for cash and are non-transferable except in Disney's sole and absolute discretion. The Vacation Packages may not be sold or transferred to any other person or third party. II. Twenty (20) tickets to the Salt Lake Parade of Homes taking place July 29, 2011 through August 4, 2011. The approximate retail value of the prize is $250. III. One (1) $250 VISA Gift Card from Mountain America Credit Union. The retail value of the prize is $250. IV. A year's supply of pizza from Little Caesar's including 52 Gift Pizza Gift Certificates redeemable at any participating Little Caesar's Restaurant. The approximate retail value of the prize is $260. VI. One (1) Play House from A Shed Inc. The prize must be picked up from the approved A Shed store location by Sept.15, 2011. The approximate retail value of the prize is $ 1,000. VII. One (1) $250 Visa Gift Card from Good Neighbor Pharmacies. The retail value of the prize is $250. VII. One (1) Emergency plus Kit Backpack from Daily Bread including one (1) two (2) week supply of gourmet meals for an adult, water filter, radio/flashlight, heat source and a first aid kit. The approximate retail value of the prize is $250. Station reserves the right to substitute a prize or any component of a prize with a prize or component of comparable value should the original prize or component be unavailable, regardless of reason. Except as noted, prizes are not transferable, subject to substitution by the contestants or redeemable for cash. Winners will be required to complete an IRS Form W- 9 and will receive an IRS Form 1099-Misc.
5. Conditions/Restrictions. In exchange for the right to participate in the Contest, each contestant agrees to release and indemnify each of the Sponsors, and the officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees of each of the Sponsors, for, from and against any and all claims, demands or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the contestant's participation in the Contest. Entry into the Contest constitutes permission for each Sponsor and its respective designees to use the name, likeness, portrait, voice and biographical material of each contestant for an unlimited period of time in order to advertise, promote or publicize the Sponsor, the products and services of any of its designees or both. Each winner will be required to produce identification satisfactory to the Station and sign an affidavit of eligibility and release (including a publicity release) as prepared by the Station. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate in or win the Contest will be subject to disqualification. The Sponsors are not responsible for technical, hardware, software, telephone or other transmission failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions; regardless of cause. The Station reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug or other problem beyond the control of the Station corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of the Contest.
6. Rules. Copies of these rules are free and available at the Site, and at the studios of the Station, Broadcast House, 55 North 300 West, P.O. Box 1160, Salt Lake City, Utah 84110-1160, during regular business hours or by sending a request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the Station at this address.
