SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah police say a man who crashed an RV into a government building has been taken to a hospital with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities say the recreational vehicle crashed through a set of glass doors Thursday afternoon and into the lobby of the Taylorsville building that houses the Utah Highway Patrol and the Utah Department of Transportation, among other agencies. No one in the building was hurt.

Utah Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Marissa Villasenor says officers are investigating whether the man targeted the building, and if he shot himself in the head before or after the crash.

She says a sweep of the van found no explosives.

The man's name was not immediately released.
