NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say a New York City man fell down an elevator shaft at a central New Jersey train station.
The 36-year-old man suffered back and other injuries in the accident, which occurred just before 6 a.m. Sunday at the Albany Street station in New Brunswick.
Authorities say the man was leaning against the elevator door and it opened, causing him to fall about 30 feet. Emergency crews were able to pull him out about an hour later.
The man was being treated at a hospital, but further details on his condition were not disclosed. His name has not been released.
