SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) — A San Jose State University official says a person died after falling six stories inside a campus library.

San Jose State University spokeswoman Pat Lopes Harris tells the San Jose Mercury News (http://bayareane.ws/1RIhlIN ) the person who died Monday was not immediately identified. She says there is no evidence of foul play.

University officials say in a statement the person was not a San Jose State student or employee.

The library, which serves the campus and the general public, was shut down after the fatal fall. It's expected to re-open Tuesday.

Both the University Police Department and the San Jose Police Department are investigating.
