LONDON, Jul 24, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Never shy about controversy, U.S. music star Madonna has had three of her music videos chosen as the most groundbreaking ever by an MTV poll.
Claiming the poll's top spot was Madonna's video for her song "Like a Prayer," which prompted great public criticism and a blasphemy label from the Vatican when it premiered in 1989, MTV said.
Not to be outdone, the singer also claimed fourth and fifth place on the poll of the top 100 videos that broke the rules with her "Ray of Light" and "Vogue" videos, respectively.
The poll was part of MTV's 25th birthday celebration and over 10,000 viewers were polled to get the results.
Rounding out the top five spots were Britney Spears' naughty schoolgirl video for the 1999 hit "Baby One More Time" and the 13-minute-long zombie video for Michael Jackson's "Thriller," the music network reported.
