SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police say the driver of a car that collided with a light rail train in Salt Lake City has died.
The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1mBaghD ) that that nine people aboard the TRAX light rail train went to the hospital with minor injuries suffered Monday morning in a collision that derailed the train in downtown Salt Lake City.
Salt Lake Police say witnesses reported seeing the car bust through train barrier arms and into the train.
The man's identity has not been released.
Light rail train routes were expected to experience some delays as crews worked to remove the train from the tracks.
