LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada Highway Patrol says two people have died after their car lost control traveling south on Interstate 15 west of Nellis Air Force Base.

Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel says the driver of the black Nissan Z was speeding when the car rolled and caught fire shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday. Both the driver and passenger died.

She says the single-car crash occurred on Interstate 15 where it meets with Craig Road. Stuenkel says a witness saw the car speed past.

There was no information immediately available about the deceased occupants of the car.
