OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — The director of transportation and parking at the University of Mississippi has bad news and good news regarding parking.

Mike Harris says room for cars on campus is going to get even harder to come by - but relief is on the way.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1NTKUSZ) the fast growing university has a host of construction projects including the expansion of the north end zone at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and a new Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics building.

Harris says the building footprints, material lay-down, worker parking and other space needs will further squeeze the already constrained room for cars on the Ole Miss campus.

There is a bit of good news. A new parking lot will be opening soon on Hill Drive.
