RENO, Nev. (AP) — Washoe County authorities have located an overdue hiker in the Mount Rose area.
Search and rescue crews found the man at about 1:30 p.m. Monday after he hadn't been heard from since Sunday afternoon. Authorities say he was discovered in good condition.
Deputy Jeff McCaskill says it was unclear whether the man, who has not yet been identified, had been on foot or using snow equipment.
The Mt. Rose area received nearly five feet of snow during storms last week, with temperatures falling into the teens overnight.
