SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A West Valley City family of nine safely escaped their burning home Christmas morning.
Firefighters are still investigating what sparked the fire around 4 a.m.
KUTV reports (http://bit.ly/1NFZVKv ) four adults and five children living inside made it out safely despite there being no working smoke detectors in the home.
The damage is estimated at about $100,000.
The Red Cross is helping the family find shelter.
