BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho officials boosted the state's wildfire protection budget today by about 10 percent for the 2016 fire season following one of the state's worst fire seasons on record. The Idaho Land Board voted 5-0 to spend an additional $920,000 aimed at preventing small fires from getting big.

The man struck a tree and sustained serious chest and internal injuries,.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — People in Twin Falls will now be able to order a drink on holidays. The Times-News reports that the City Council has approved a proposal allowing bars and restaurants to sell liquor by the drink on Memorial and election days and Thanksgiving. Beer and wine were allowed on that handful of holidays but not liquor.
