American Serena Williams, who tumbled down the WTA world rankings after having six months out of the game, has started to climb back up.
The former world number one reached the semi-finals at Cincinnati last week to move up 31 spots to 108th.
However there was no movement at all in the top 20 with virtually every player not competing last week.
