RICHFIELD, Utah (AP) — Documents say a Utah man left a brawl with man he's accused of killing before returning and shooting the man dead. The Deseret News cites court documents in the murder case against 39-year-old William Muir of Venice in Sevier County. Muir is accused of killing David Rioja on Nov. 22 in front of Rijoa's house in Venice. Muir is due in court tomorrow.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Search and rescue crews recovered the body of a hunter from a remote Utah canyon where family members said he fell from a rocky ledge. Carbon County sheriff's deputies tell KSL-TV that the body of Zach Clements was retrieved from the Desolation Canyon area yesterday, a day after his hunting party hiked two hours to get cellphone service and summon help.
MIDVALE, Utah (AP) — A Midvale man is suspected of setting his own house on fire last month. The Deseret News reports Christopher Jensen was arrested and jailed Friday on aggravated arson charges. Police say three officers and a Taser were needed to arrest Jensen, who was combative when authorities arrived.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Kevin Durant scored 31 points — all but two after halftime — and Oklahoma City rallied from a 16-point deficit to beat Utah 104-98 in overtime last night. It was the Thunder's second win over the Jazz in a three-day span. Rodney Hood had 23 points, Gordon Hayward scored 22 and Alec Burks added 21 for the Jazz, who fell five games behind first-place Oklahoma City in the Northwest Division.
