Check presentation ceremony at Harley-Davidson of Salt Lake on Wed 7/16 at 10:00AM Harley-Davidson of Salt Lake City has raised a record amount of money for the Utah Muscular Dystrophy Association. The charitable sum donated came from two major Harley-Davidson events; The 2008 Black & Blue Ball, and the 2008 Wendover MDA Ride For A Cure. The Black & Blue Ball dinner is a national event that Harley-Davidson dealerships host across the country as a means to raise money for muscular dystrophy research. The Black and Blue Ball charity dinner was hosted for the first time ever in Utah the night before the MDA Ride on Friday, June 6th. The 2008 Wendover MDA Ride For A Cure is the third largest single-day motorcycle charity in America. This year's ride attracted over 4,500 local motorcyclists. WHO: Joe Timmons, owner of Intermountain Harley-Davidson WHEN: Wednesday July 16th, 10:00AM WHERE: Harley-Davidson of Salt Lake City, 2928 South State Street, SLC VISUALS: Joe Timmons will personally deliver the massive 8X4 foot check to Utah children battling muscular dystrophy, amidst a sea of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in the middle of the Salt Lake Harley-Davidson showroom. Utah MDA representatives and local families with children stricken by muscular dystrophy will be available for pictures and interviews.
