LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas Police say video shows Thomas McEniry pointing a weapon that turned out to be a pellet gun before officers shot and killed him. Assistant Sheriff Kirk Primas said yesterday during a briefing about the Nov. 24 shooting that McEniry was tased moments before but the prongs hit his jacket.

TONOPAH, Nev. (AP) — Authorities say two students from the University of Nevada, Reno died in a car crash about 7 miles outside of Tonopah early yesterday. The Highway Patrol say Roman Suslov and passenger Mateo Silva-Medina were both were from Las Vegas. It's unknown whether impairment was involved.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities are releasing images of a woman who they say kidnapped and robbed an elderly woman in Las Vegas. Police made the photos public after a Nov. 17 incident where an elderly woman was forced at knifepoint to get money from an ATM. Police said the two people didn't know each other and that no injuries were reported.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority says nearly 3.8 million people visited the destination in October, an increase of 5.6 percent compared to a year ago. The agency that markets Las Vegas to travelers reports that 93 percent of the more than 149,000 hotel rooms in the gambling hub were occupied in October representing a 3.7 point increase. Airport traffic was also up by 6.4 percent in October.
