WASHINGTON (AP) — Yale University senior Isaac Stanley-Becker has been awarded a 2016 Rhodes scholarship to Oxford University, where he'll study economics and social history.
Stanley-Becker, who majors in history and is the editor of the Yale Daily News, is an award-winning journalist. He has interned at several newspapers including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
He also founded the Hillhouse High Journalism Project to teach journalism to public high school students in New Haven.
He is currently writing his senior thesis about civil disobedience in New London, Connecticut.
