UNDATED (AP) — A pre-winter storm is pushing into northern Indiana and parts of Michigan after dumping more than a foot of snow on Chicago's northern suburbs. The National Weather Service says nearly 15 inches of snow was measured in Capron, about 60 miles northwest of Chicago. The storm has brought flight delays and cancellations at Chicago's two main airports at the start of the busy Thanksgiving travel week.
BRUSSELS (AP) — The U.S. European Command has issued a 72-hour restriction on travel to Brussels by all U.S. military personnel as well as civilian Pentagon employees, contractors and their family members and dependents. That's after Belgian officials raised the terrorism alert for the Brussels region to its highest level, signifying a "serious and imminent" attack threat. Brussels is home to the overall headquarters of the U.S.-led NATO alliance.
YAOUNDE, Cameroon (AP) — A local official in northern Cameroon says at least nine people were killed and dozens injured when suspected Boko Haram (BOH'-koh hah-RAHM') militants carried out a suicide attack on a town bordering Nigeria. Cameroon is contributing troops to a regional force to fight Boko Haram, whose six-year insurgency has left an estimated 20,000 people dead, according to Amnesty International.
JERUSALEM (AP) — Police say a stabbing attack in southern Israel has wounded four people, two of them seriously. Police are looking for the attacker. Over the past two months, Palestinian attacks have killed 17 Israelis, mostly in stabbings, while 84 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities are investigating a shooting at a high school in suburban Las Vegas that has left a 16-year-old boy dead. North Las Vegas police say the boy was found dead on a sidewalk yesterday outside Mojave High School. It's not clear whether he was a student at the school.
