SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah's jobless rate held steady last month at 3.6 percent.

A report Friday from the state Department of Workforce Services shows there were about 52,000 Utah residents who were out of work in October but looking for jobs.

While Utah's rate was unchanged, the national unemployment rate dropped down to 5 percent last month, down from 5.1 percent in September.
