CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — Authorities say a man believed to be the triggerman in a fatal shooting near New York's Penn Station has been arrested in Rhode Island.
State police say a firearm was found in the Cranston home where Francisco Alsina was arrested Thursday night.
Alsina was arraigned Friday in Warwick on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. The Providence Journal (http://bit.ly/1kTKTH ) reports that the 23-year-old waived extradition to New York, where charges are pending. It isn't clear if he has a lawyer.
Three men were shot Monday, one fatally, at a subway entrance near Penn Station following a confrontation.
Police in New York took a suspect into custody Thursday for questioning. He's being held on a drug possession charge.
Police say investigators are searching for a third suspect they believe drove the getaway car.
