WATERVILLE, Maine (AP) — The lawyer for a Waterville school superintendent says he is recommending the dismissal of a high school principal because he allegedly asked a student to have sex with him.
The Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1GWnoYc ) reports that superintendent Eric Haley's lawyer told the Waterville Board of Education Tuesday night that evidence showed Waterville Senior High School principal Don Reiter propositioned the girl on Aug. 27.
She says Reiter told the girl he chooses a student to have sex with every year and had chosen her. Reiter allegedly threatened to keep her from graduating if she told someone.
Reiter has been on paid administrative leave since Sept. 1. He has been principal since 2007.
Reiter's lawyer says the evidence will show the allegations are false and the situation never happened.
