FOX LAKE, Ill. (AP) — A village administrator in Illinois who police say was the target of an officer who staged his suicide says the case is "almost surreal." Police say Lt. Charles Joseph Gliniewicz feared Fox Lake Village Administrator Anne Marrin would expose him as a thief and sent a text asking a woman to set up a meeting with a high ranking gang member to put a hit on Marrin.
SAN CARLOS, Ariz. (AP) — The chairman of the San Carlos Apache tribe is apologizing for dressing up as reggae legend Bob Marley for Halloween and painting his face dark, calling it a "poor choice." An Arizona civil rights activist says Terry Rambler made a mockery of black people, adding that it's hypocritical for Rambler to portray a black man while being a leading opponent of the Washington Redskins mascot.
