BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Police have released a parking lot surveillance video of a man suspected of having raped a college student as she walked near a Buffalo park.

Authorities say the Trocaire College student told police she was walking in a wooded area near Hillery Park in South Buffalo shortly before noon Tuesday when she was attacked. Police say a man approached her from behind, hit her in the head with a weapon and then raped her near railroad tracks along the Buffalo River.

On Wednesday police released surveillance video that shows the suspect walking across a parking lot near where the attack occurred.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the person seen in the video to call them at 716-847-2255.
