RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — A northern New Jersey college is now a university.
Felician College announced Tuesday that it has officially changed its name to Felician University following approval by New Jersey's Education Department.
Officials with the private Roman Catholic college say the university designation more accurately reflects Felician's range and quality of academic offerings. It has campuses in Lodi and Rutherford.
Felician offers more than 16 graduate programs across all disciplines and two doctoral programs, along with undergraduate programs in arts and sciences, business, education and nursing.
