LAS VEGAS (AP) — The coroner's office says a man who died when his car struck a Las Vegas wall is 53-year-old Richard Robert Pacheco.

Police believe the Las Vegas resident may have had a medical episode before the Saturday evening crash on Desert Inn Road near Myrtle Avenue, a few streets northwest of the Rio All-Suites hotel and casino.

The Clark County Coroner's office is still investigating Pacheco's cause of death.

Authorities say the crash happened shortly before 7 p.m. when the Nissan Titan that Pacheco was driving veered to the right side of the road, over a curb and sidewalk and into a wall. Las Vegas police say Pacheco died at the hospital and an 11-year-old boy who was a passenger was not injured.
