VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — Canadian authorities say there are multiple fatalities after a whale watching boat with 27 people on board sank off Vancouver Island. The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre confirmed that the vessel made a mayday call this afternoon near Tofino, British Columbia.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — A woman faces second-degree murder charges after authorities said she plowed a car into the crowd at the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade. Saturday's crash killed four people, including a toddler. Her attorney says his client may suffer from a mental illness.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden says he decided against running for president because he "couldn't win" — not because he would have had too little time to get a campaign up and running. Biden told CBS' "60 Minutes" he wants to continue to have a voice in party affairs and will speak up whenever he wishes.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Opponents of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul are taking yet another challenge to the law to the Supreme Court. A new appeal is being filed tomorrow by the Pacific Legal Foundation. It contends the law violates the Constitution, which requires tax-raising bills to originate in the House of Representatives.

CAMARILLO, Calif. (AP) — The Lundberg Survey says the average price of gasoline has dropped 10 cents over the past two weeks, to $2.24 a gallon. In the Lower 48 states, the highest average price of regular gasoline was $2.87 per gallon in Los Angeles. The lowest was $1.85 in Charleston, South Carolina.
