CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — The Nevada Treasurer's Office is announcing plans to start disbursing money through Education Savings Accounts in February - two months earlier than scheduled. Nevada lawmakers passed a bill on party lines this spring creating the accounts, which allow parents to claim most of their child's per-pupil state education funding and use it toward private school or other qualified expenses. Two pending lawsuits seek to halt the program.
