BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A Boise man accused of shooting and wounding a woman in the backyard of her home is facing new charges.
KTVB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1Mre8Yg ) an amended complaint filed Tuesday charges Christopher Wirfs with stalking. The 35-year-old suspect also faces charges of aggravated battery and unlawful possession of a firearm in connection with the September shooting of Makaela Ann Zabel-Gravatt.
Wirfs has been accused of harassing the woman prior to the shooting by sending her threatening text messages and voicemails.
Wirfs reportedly had been a client of the woman's at a hair salon. Prosecutors say Wirfs was told to leave the business several times in recent months and again on Sept. 12, the day Zabel-Gravatt was shot at her home.
She is recovering from serious injuries.
